Australia Post has launched a new campaign aimed at supporting small businesses and side hustles as Australia’s eCommerce sector continues to grow.

The Big Boss Energy campaign will promote businesses through a range of marketing initiatives, including in-store activations at select Post Offices, digital content, community events and creator-led campaigns.

The initiative comes as Australians spent a record $82.6 billion online last year, according to the Australia Post 2026 eCommerce Report.

Australia Post said micro and small businesses account for 88 per cent of its business customers.

“As Australia’s eCommerce sector continues to grow, we’re always looking at new ways to support businesses beyond delivery,” said Gary Starr, Executive General Manager, Parcel, Post and eCommerce Services at Australia Post.

“Big Boss Energy is about celebrating the ambition of Australian businesses while giving them practical opportunities to build their profile, connect with customers and scale with confidence.”

As part of the campaign, select Post Offices will be designated as “Side Hustle Capitals of Australia”, with activities including local business showcases and visits from the Peak-Me-Up Coffee Van.

Australia Post will also host the Making Moves Market in Melbourne on September 20, providing small businesses and side hustlers with an opportunity to showcase their products and connect with customers.
