SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Dave Matthews Band played its 50th concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Friday and came back for No. 51 a day later.
Matthews’ first headline show at the iconic amphitheater was 30 years ago, in 1996.
On Friday, according to a post on the Dave Matthews Facebook page, the band opened with “Louisiana Bayou” followed by the classic “So Much to
Say” and wrapped up the regular set with “Ants Marching” before a two-song encore of “Making it Great” and “Lie in our Graves.”
Including Matthews, the band featured Tim Reynolds on guitar, Carter Beauford on drums, Stefan Lessard on bass and Jeff Coffin and Rashawn Ross on horns.
