Thanasi Kokkinakis is through to the Round of 16 at Cranbrook Tennis Classic after defeating Evan Zhu in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.
The Australian proved too strong for his American opponent, winning 74 per cent of his first serve points and 79 per cent of his second.
He also won three of the nine break points he earned on Zhu while fighting off two.
Kokkinakis will next face second-seed fellow Aussie Adam Walton.
