Australian gymnast Jesse Moore has won the nation’s first men’s individual all-around medal in 16 years, after claiming bronze at the Glasgow International Arena with a total of 79.000.
It wasn’t smooth sailing for Moore, who had a dismount on the pommel horse — his first apparatus of the evening — but he fought back with an impressive 13.850 on the vault and 14.100 on the high bar to put himself in medal contention.

Scotland’s Reuben Scott won gold with a total of 79.650, while Canada’s Felix Dolci won silver with 79.450.
The last time Australia won a men’s individual all-around medal was at the 2010 Games in Delhi, when Joshua Jefferis won bronze. Jefferis had also won gold in the event at the previous Games in Melbourne in 2006.
Fellow Australian Ritam Malik finished in sixth with a total of 77.400.
