Eric Roberts confirmed he did not attend daughter Emma Robert’s wedding to actor Cody John on Saturday, despite the ceremony being an A-list family affair.
The 70-year-old Dark Knight star said he “loves” his daughter. He, however, skipped the nuptials that famous sister Julia Roberts even attended.

“I love my daughter, always have, always will,” said the Oscar nominee as he addressed his absence in a statement to Page Six on Tuesday.
“It is perfectly wonderful for her to celebrate however she wants, with whomever she wants.”
The day after Emma and Cody said ‘I do’ in their intimate Idaho wedding, Eric was spotted over 1,000 kilometres away from where his famous daughter tied the knot.

Instead, the Runaway Train actor was photographed leaving a Los Angeles-based gym.
Emma and Cody tied the knot in a romantic ceremony, witnessed by their close family and friend at the groom’s family estate, after four years of dating.

The actress walked down the aisle with her five-year-old son Rhodes, who she shares with ex Garrett Hedlund.
Several Hollywood friends witnessed the wonderful ceremony including Demi Moore, Kristen Stewart and her partner, Dylan Eyer, co-star Sarah Paulson, Ashley Benson and more.
Emma’s famous aunty, Julia, was spotted sitting in the second row with cinematographer and husband Daniel Moder.

The Pretty Woman star was seen wearing a flowing, navy-blue polka dot dress.
Eric did not provide a reason for his absence. He welcomed Emma in 1991 with actor and ex Kelly Cunningham.
Speaking on the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast in April, the Golden Globe nominee said his relationship with his daughter looked “complicated through outside eyes”. He, however, claimed they were not estranged.
