Dubai Basketball have officially signed former NBA and Baskonia center Mamadi Diakite to a multi-year deal.
Dubai Basketball have added one of the standout centers from the latest EuroLeague rookie class ahead of the upcoming season.

Diakite arrives in Dubai after a standout rookie EuroLeague campaign
Diakite, a 29-year-old, 2.06-meter center from Guinea, joins Dubai following an impressive debut EuroLeague campaign with Baskonia.
He averaged 8.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.2 blocks for a 10.1 PIR in 19 minutes per game.
However, Diakite significantly raised his level during the final stretch of the season, emerging as one of the competition’s most impactful centers.
Over the final third of the EuroLeague campaign, he averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks in 26 minutes per game. He also shot 71% from two-point range, 39% from three and 89% from the free-throw line.
Diakite delivered his best performance of the season against his new team in March, recording career highs of 27 points, 12 rebounds and a 37 PIR against Dubai.
Before moving to Europe, Diakite made 55 NBA appearances with the Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks.
He averaged 3.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in limited playing time during his NBA career.
