Teams have been named for this weekend’s NSWRL senior representative rugby league fixtures.
NSW Cup Team (Round 22):
Coach Brett Morris has named his team, who currently sit 6th on the competition table, to play 12th placed St George Illawarra at Wentworth Park on Saturday. The match kicks at 12.30 pm.
The club is missing Blake Steep (knee) and Dietrich Roache (leg) with injury, whilst a number of players will travel to Townsville this week with the NRL team. However, it is hoped that those that travel to Townsville, but don’t play, will be back in time to play in the NSW Cup on Saturday. Therefore, a number of spots have been left open in the team announced on Tuesday, and they are unlikely to be finally determined until 11.30 am on Saturday.
At this stage, with Tommy Talau in the NRL starting 13, his position on the wing is to be confirmed, whilst the filling of the bench spot held by Darcy Smith is also unconfirmed. Finally, with Reece Foley in the NRL squad in Townsville his five eighth spot has been left open. Otherwise, the team that beat Newcastle last Friday is unchanged, for now.

Jersey Flegg Cup Team (Round 22):
Coach Anthony Barnes has named his team, who currently sit 10th on the competition table, to play competition leaders St George Illawarra at Wentworth Park on Sunday. The match kicks off at 12.30 pm.
The team continues to be without a plethora of eligible players with an injury list headed by Aholoka Toia, Lachlan Dooner, Lui Lee, Zalyen Ekapati, Zac Sarfati, Jackson Pennell, Jackson De Lisle, John Paul-Donevski and Enzo Griffier, whilst Toby Rodwell, Reece Foley, Jake Elliott, Kanaan Magele, Charleston Te Rore, Brooklyn Heath and Rex Bassingthwaighte have been named in the NSW Cup team.
With uncertainty surrounding the final NSW Cup line-up a number of positions in the Jersey Flegg squad are still to be determined. One confirmed change sees Josiah Fesolai move from hooker to lock, replacing Eddy Cayless, whilst a second change see John-Paul Donevski (right centre) missing out, after being unable to complete last week’s match due to injury.
Fullback (spot held last week by Jackson Stewart), left edge (Darcy Smith), bench hooker (Jaxson Allen) and the spots held last week by Fesolai and Donevski will all be confirmed at 11.30 am on Sunday.
