NEED TO KNOW

Annabel, Vinnie and Casper are planning pop-up food events (and maybe a Vietnam trip) once the season ends.

Annabel’s eager for the finale so their plans with Vinnie and Casper can finally begin.

Cast members hope to reconnect and collaborate once MasterChef wraps.

We’re down to the final three contestants on MasterChef, and while eyes are firmly set on Finals Week, many viewers are wondering what’s in store for the rest of the eliminated contestants now that they’ve hung up their white aprons.

The cast this season has been particularly close (even sparking romance rumours), and fans have loved watching the friendships unfold amid all the crazy challenges in the kitchen set for them by the judges.

However, there is one contestant still in the running for the crown that others are desperate to see leave the show.

After being eliminated on July 22, Annabel told WHO that some of her big plans are tied to Vinnie and Casper, and with Casper the latest to be eliminated, the finale can’t come quick enough.

Why Annabel is patiently waiting for the end of the season

The 30-year-old nurse didn’t say exactly what the plans are, but she did confirm they revolved around Casper and Vinnie.

“I’m just waiting for the whole competition to be over because a lot of my close, close friends are still in it,” Annabel told WHO after her elimination. “I’m giving them time to just give that their all, and then we’ll start.

“I think Vinnie, Casper and I have some pretty exciting plans in the works, so stay tuned.”

She explained they are eager to do pop-up events at different food festivals, something that many former MasterChef contestants have been involved in since their seasons have ended.

This sentiment was seconded by Casper.

“We’re looking at planning pop-ups and doing events. So that’s something that, particularly Vinnie, Annabel and I, we’ve got a little bit of a group together there planning some events for the future, which is really, really exciting, and we’re all really looking forward to that,” he told WHO.

“So I think once the season concludes, we’re going to really put our heads down and get to planning and finalising so we can have our first event.”

Annabel also suggested that the three of them might travel to Vietnam together.

Now that sounds like fun.

The mention of an overseas trip comes after Luke revealed he had made a pact with Petro that, if he wins, he would need to take the 19-year-old to Greece with him.

Annabel claims she was also included in the promise, so that could even be another reason why she’s keen to have Vinnie out of the competition sooner rather than later!

The pair are so close they were even subjected to romance rumours; however, these were quickly squashed by one of the contestants (who wished to remain anonymous), who explained they were simply good friends.

Could we see a cast reunion?

While neither Annabel nor Casper confirmed whether the cast would get together in an official capacity, they both spoke about plans to travel around the country and meet up with their fellow cooks.

“I’m definitely going to find myself down in in Melbourne and catch up with [everyone],” Casper, who lives in Canberra, told WHO.

“I’m really keen to catch up with like Petro and Erin, and hopefully do some events and stuff with them too.

“Everyone is keen to do stuff and really keen to collaborate with each other.”

It seems we haven’t seen the last of this MasterChef cast!
