Claudia and Nelson Peltz have found themselves embroiled in their second lawsuit in two years regarding an alleged dog attack.
The lawsuit claims that Claudia and Nelson’s daughter, Nicola Peltz Beckham, wife of Brooklyn Beckham, was present at the time the family’s rescue dog Houdini attacked an employee on December 23, 2025.

According to court documents cited by People magazine, employee Joy Ransom filed the lawsuit on July 10, 2025.
She alleges that Claudia and Nelson’s rescue dog, Houdini, attacked her on December 23, 2025, and that Nicola was present when the attack occurred.
The lawsuit claims that Ransom has “incurred medical expenses” as a result of the attack, and that Houdini “was not under any form of restraint or control” at the time of the attack.
Ransom also alleged that the family were aware that Houdini is “prone to attack people”, and that the family’s pet has “never had K-9 training or behaviour training”.
Ransom was working in the Peltz residence at the time of the alleged attack, however claims she “was not negligent in causing the incident”.
This is not the first time Claudia and Nelson have been sued by an employee, previously finding themselves entangled in a legal situation regarding Houdini.
An employee at their Palm Beach home in Florida sued, claiming that on December 16, 2024, Houdini was “lunging and attempting to attack” her which caused her to fall and injure herself, according to Ransom’s lawsuit.
Ransom is seeking over $US50,000 (approximately $71,000 AUD) in damages to compensate for “bodily injury and resulting physical and mental pain and suffering, disability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, loss of capacity and/or permanent aggravation of a pre-existing condition and further incurred hospital bills, medical bills, and/or other bills as a result of said injuries.”

The lawsuit also claims that the Peltz previously “failed to report” their pet’s “dangerous propensities”, also failing to “obtain a certificate of registration for Houdini”.
At the time of publishing, Claudia and Nelson Peltz have made not made a public statement regarding the lawsuit.
