AARON Love is back with a bang.
In his first weekend aboard a Supercar since his Blanchard Racing Team main game career met an abrupt end in early 2025, Love stormed to pole position for the opening Super2 race in Perth.
Driving an Eggleston Motorsport Commodore, the 24-year-old topped both qualifying and the Top Five Shootout to put himself in the box seat for this afternoon’s 40-minute contest.
Coincidentally, it was an ex-BRT driver and ex-BRT engineer (Matt Saunders) combining to deny BRT ace Lochie Dalton a pole four-peat.
Dalton had held top spot in the one-lap dash until Love delivered under pressure.

“That was awesome,” Love reacted on the broadcast.
“The car was amazing, to do it in one lap was a lot of fun. We had a really good test day and to come back swinging like this is really, really cool.
“Definitely last year was pretty tough. So to get back in the swing of things towards the end of last year and have some good support around me, and to continue that here today is really, really cool.”
Race start this afternoon for Super2 is scheduled for 2:55pm local/4:55pm AEST.
