In winning 24.10 (154) to 11.12 (78), interim coach Josh Fraser has taken another massive step towards the Carlton senior role – even though he hasn’t officially entered the race yet.
“The keys are in his hands – they have to be after this,” Jack Riewoldt said on Fox Footy, raving about the Blues’ offence and defence tonight, which he said was the best of any side’s all season so far.
Blues skipper Patrick Cripps, who had a 250th game to savour, just weighed in on the Fraser issue, too.
“He’s been playing a pretty smart poker hand at the moment, but we’re loving our time under him,” he said on Fox Footy.
“I’m sure he’ll make the right decision – the one he thinks is right – but he’s done a great job, hasn’t he?”
