Aussie golden girl Delta Goodrem stole the show at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Monday morning.

While Australia has dominated in the medal tally, it was the 41-year-old performer who really delivered with a medley of some of her greatest hits and even a few surprises as she took to the stage.

The performance started out where many of us know Goodrem best, as she sat behind the piano.

The singer wore a silver sparkling gown for the occasion, with her hair out in loose waves around her shoulders.

Millennials across the country who were up early instantly knew what those opening chords were, the start of her 2022 hit, Born to Try.

The acoustic set showcased her talents as athletes and flags from the competing countries started to fill the stage around her.

Things ramped up and she quickly moved into her Eurovision banger Eclipse, along with other hits like Lost Without You, Wings and Warrior.

As she belted out the powerful ballad, the crowd was up and dancing, clapping to the beat and really getting into it.

But there was still one surprise up her sleeves.

Goodrem called singer Cammy Barnes to the stage as the opening chords for the John Farnham hit, The Voice rang out through the area.

The performance on Monday morning Australian time marked her third appearance at the Commonwealth Games.

Her first time was in 2006 and it wasn’t lost on her how special it was to be a part of this moment, sharing a post on social media about the career milestone.

“We’ve arrived in Glasgow! Tomorrow will be my third time performing at the Commonwealth Games 💙 Feeling very grateful to have such unforgettable memories from this event over the years,” she wrote.

“SO proud of the incredible @commgamesaus team for what they’ve achieved at these games 🙌 it’s an honour to get to sing and be part of the celebrations!”

Alongside the post she shared videos and pictures from her 2006 and 2018 performances.
