SUPERCARS champion turned IndyCar star Scott McLaughlin is returning for another crack at the Suzuka 1000km.
McLaughlin paired up with Nicky Catsburg and Alexander Sims to place outright third in the Japanese enduro last year aboard a Johor Motorsports Racing Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
It will be that same combination of drivers, team and car again this September 12-14.
“I’m so excited to get back with the team at JMR. Their operation is absolutely first-class and last year I had a real blast trying to win a race with such great people,” said McLaughlin.
“Suzuka was one of my favourite races last year, so I can’t wait to get back there with JMR, Nicky and Alex, and push for the win in 2026.”
Corvette Racing program manager Andrea Hidalgo said: “It’s very exciting to see JMR step up again to the Pro class at the Suzuka 1000km with Alexander, Nicky and Scott in the Corvette Z06 GT3.R.

JMR’s second entry will compete in Pro-Am, shared by the aforementioned royal Malaysian brothers plus Ben Green.
McLaughlin is eighth in the IndyCar standings two-thirds of the way through the season.
