Sunny Sandler is revealing a style quirk about her dad, Adam Sandler.
On Monday, Aug. 3, the 17-year-old appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her upcoming Netflix movie Don’t Say Good Luck. In it, she stars as Sophie Birenbaum, whose life gets turned upside down right as she lands the lead role in her high school’s play. The movie is produced by both Adam and his wife, Jackie Sandler.
While chatting about her famous dad, Sunny recalled impersonating him as a kid alongside her older sister Sadie.
“When me and my sister were younger, we dressed up in his clothes, before that was popular and cool,” Sunny said. “The big shirts, the shorts. We held Diet Cokes and yelled about the air conditioning being off. And then we jumped in the pool with our socks on because he wears his socks in the pool because he can’t bend to take them off on land.”

“I swear it’s true,” she added.
When host Jimmy Fallon asked if Adam then takes his socks off once he’s in the pool, Sunny replied, “Yes. And then he’ll drain them, and then you play catch with them.”
The comedian, 59, has become known for his eclectic sense of style, which has been dubbed “Sandlercore” and often includes oversize T-shirts and basketball shorts.

In May, he divided the internet with his casual outfit choice worn to support Jackie at the world premiere of her latest film, Office Romance. The star opted for an oversize orange New York Knicks hoodie that he paired with bright blue pants and colorful sneakers to attend the Netflix event at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

He rocked scruffy facial hair and added a few rings to accessorize.
Meanwhile, Jackie — who has a starring role in the Netflix film, playing Caroline alongside costars Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein — opted for an elegant black dress with a dainty keyhole cutout design near the neckline.
