Just a few months ago, O’Neill, who is a close friend of Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, shared that she and Menz had lost a pregnancy. It came at a time of high public scrutiny for the Aussie star.

O’Neill’s talent agency, Gemmie Agency, had gone into voluntary liquidation. At the time, reportedly owing $536,000.

The news saw O’Neill become the subject of criticism, with many media outlets speculating on the reason behind her company’s downfall, which O’Neill claimed crossed the line of reporting and felt more like “creating noise or bullying”. She then decided to step back from the public eye.

“The reality was that I was receiving a level of online abuse that was quite frankly disgusting and felt very scary, and so I made the decision to step back from my personal Instagram to protect my mental health while I was pregnant,” she said on her podcast, Her Best Life, which she formerly co-hosted with Henderson.

She then shared the devastating news that she and Menz had since lost the pregnancy.

“Obviously, since then, I’ve been going through something very personal with the loss of a baby.”

O’Neill assured followers that there are legal reasons she had not spoken on the collapse of her business, and that her choice to step back from the public eye had nothing to do with her work life.

“As I mentioned earlier on a personal note, given that I’m feeling a bit full of grief right now, I’m gonna take a little break from the podcast, which I really hope you guys can understand,” O’Neill continued.

“I just need to have a moment to process and heal, and I guess just let it all out.”

O’Neill has not returned to the podcast or Instagram since.
