Laguna Golf Phuket has appointed a new director of agronomy, Jhomer lito Q. Patalot Jr, who has been tasked with further enhancing the Thai resort’s agronomy and management practices, ultimately elevating golf course conditions to premium status.
Jhomer brings almost 25 years of experience in golf course management and maintenance across Asia. He started his career in the Philippines, rising to Golf Course Superintendent at Manila Golf & Country Club, before expanding his international experience in Brunei and Thailand, where he lead the agronomy teams at some of the prestigious venues, including Ayodhya Links, Royal Lakeside Golf Club, Amata Spring Country Club, and Sports Turf Solutions Ltd.
Holding a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Agriculture specialising in Agronomy, Jhomar is committed to continuous improvement and sustainability in course conditioning. His leadership combines deep technical expertise with a passion for delivering exceptional playing surfaces.
