Where is the office located?

We are located in the historic Royal George Hotel, on George Street in East Fremantle, Western Australia

How many people work here?

We are a team of nine across both disciplines.

How long have you been in this space?

We moved in October 2025. The Royal George Hotel sat empty for many years before being renovated. We love the area – our previous studio was located nearby on George Streer and were lucky enough to secure space in the building.

Tell us what you did with the space and why?

The building has beautiful heritage bones – high ceilings, pressed tin, timber fireplaces and stairs. We retained much of the original character of the space, opening through walls to create a studio area along the facade, with a large meeting room and library occupying the remaining room. We repurposed old but non-original kitchen cabinets as displays and bookshelves.

What three words describe the office?

Centred, comfortable, relaxed.

What is the best thing about the office?

Everything has a place – enough storage to hide the crazy amounts of samples we have.

What does the office reveal about your work?

We love buildings with a history and personality and value calm, ordered spaces.

What is the most used spot in the studio?

Our beautiful sit-to-stand workstations – designed to look like a table, they provide the ergonomic support in style.

What is the most unexpected thing in the office?

We often get comments around the material pallete in the boardroom – dusty peach walls, pale blue plush carpet, oak, Accona marble. It all comes together cohesively in a rich and warm space.
