Castleford have reportedly reached out to three Dragons stars who are set to join the Tigers from next season amid the Super League’s club investigation into coach Ryan Carr.

Carr has been stood down by the Tigers for Castleford’s clash against Hull KR this weekend but very little light has been shed on why, with the club stating vaguely it was due to “personal reasons”.
Damien Cook, Tyrell Sloan and Matt Feagai have signed contracts for 2027. All three are linked to Carr from his time at the Dragons as an assistant coach.
According to CODE Sports, the three players are concerned with how the investigation may play out. The Tigers are reportedly considering their options for the rest of the season and beyond.
It’s unclear if the Dragons trio definitely will honour their contracts if Carr departs the club but as per CODE, at this stage, the indication is they plan on upholding their commitments.

While it’s not known for sure why Carr was stood down, it’s being speculated his eye-raising post-match comments following the Tigers’ loss to Warrington last weekend was a factor.
Without naming names, the Tigers coach lambested certain “individuals”.
“It’s more of an individual thing than a team thing. Because the team you see is when we really look good, but some individuals need to … umm, yeah. It’s like two different versions of people,” Carr said after the heavy defeat.
“It’s a definite individual thing for certain people out there today that caused things, and that affects the team and then ultimately that’s hard to come back from when you’re down by a big score.
“We’re playing really good and then some common denominators struck again, unfortunately.
“That’s the reality, I can’t sugar coat it.”
