Last Shot is a new basketball drama set to open in theaters on October 2. It stars Jaime Pressly (“My Name Is Earl”), Michael Rapaport (“Atypical”), Dylan Friedman (“Marshmallow”), Johnny Simmons (“The Perks of Being a Wallflower”), and former two-time NBA All-Star Baron Davis. It is directed by Andy Palmer. It recently opened the Dallas International Film Festival, which was celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The movie is set in the highly competitive youth basketball scene, and follows a young prodigy as he navigates through not just the competition on the court, but off of it as well.

I am a sucker for a sports film, especially a basketball film, so I will give this a shot, even though it has Rappaport in it and I cannot stand him. I will try not to hold it against the film too much. Last Shot will open in theaters on October 2.
