OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — The Thunder will meet two storied foes in their first few games of the 26-27 season.

On Tuesday, the Thunder announced their first game will be against the San Antonio Spurs in San Antonio on October 20 at 8:30 p.m.

The game will be broadcast on NBC.

The Thunder’s home opener will be two days later against the Denver Nuggets at 8:30 p.m.

Last season, the Thunder faced the Spurs in an epic Western Conference Finals.

The Spurs then went on to the NBA Finals, where they failed to win a championship against the New York Knicks.

The Thunder also have a rivalry against the Nuggets, whom they met in the playoffs two seasons ago. The playoff series came down to the wire, with the Thunder eventually beating them.
