A fan was left stunned after running into Oscar nominee Tom Hardy shopping for Pokémon cards at a local pop-up market this week.

TikTok user Molly Wheatley, shared a snap of the Venom actor, 48, spotted in Brighton, England, browsing the trading card event held in a local gymnasium. She was then lucky enough to get a selfie.

Wheatley, who goes by the handle @xo_mxlly_ox, captioned the photo taken on Monday (Australian time): “That’s just a random man in a white hat…”

The next photo in the slide revealed it was not a “random man” but A-lister and Peaky Blinders star Hardy.

“Just a random card show as well I guess,” the fan wrote adding a laughing emoji.

Fans were in absolute disbelief in the comments section of the post that’s been viewed over 300,000 times, with one writing: “My jaw hit the floor”.

“I’M SO JEALOUS OMG CONGRATS!!” reacted a second, while others asked if the actor was nice in real life.

Wheatley replied: “Extremely nice, just seemed like such a normal down to earth guy.”

Some fans were simply obsessed with what the A-lister bought at the convention, surprised to learn he was a collector.

Wheatley seemed to hint Hardy was shopping for Pokémon cards with the hashtags in her post, and the Pokémon merch pictured in the photos.

One fan even commented: “What is it with celebrities and Pokémon cards these days?”

The fan convention also sells and trades a collection of cards including Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, and sports trading cards.
