Australian Boomers guards Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels will face each other four times in the NBA this season, which is as often as any two Australians meet.

Ten other Australian match-ups also come around four times.

Most of them sit in the same corner of the map. Daniels and Jock Landale at the Atlanta Hawks, Giddey at the Chicago Bulls, Tyrese Proctor at the Cleveland Cavaliers and Johnny Furphy at the Indiana Pacers are all in the Central and Southeast, so they keep running into each other.

Matisse Thybulle gets four cracks at Josh Green and Rocco Zikarsky, because the Los Angeles Lakers play the Minnesota Timberwolves are in the Western Conference.

Melbourne-born Kyrie Irving is the odd one out. The Dallas Mavericks meet the Lakers and Minnesota three times each, and everyone else twice.

The best day of the season is Sunday, January 3, 2027.

Three Australian match-ups inside 90 minutes: Minnesota at Indiana at 11am, Dallas at Atlanta at 11:30am, then the Lakers at Chicago at midday.

It all starts on Saturday, October 24, when Irving’s Dallas visit Furphy’s Indiana at 10am AEDT. Furphy is still recovering from an ACL injury and Irving is expected back after recovering from the ACL injury.

Fifty of the 58 games tip between 10am and 2pm on Australia’s east coast.

There are 58 games in all. The table below has every meeting.

Source: the NBA’s 2026-27 schedule, released 5am AEST Friday 14 August 2026. Every time here is derived from the game’s UTC instant rather than copied from a printed clock, and each row carries its own zone label — Australian daylight saving ends on Sunday 4 April 2027, inside the season, so a tip-off at the same instant reads 10am on Saturday 3 April and 9am on Sunday 4 April. United States daylight saving begins three weeks earlier, on 14 March, moving the American clock the other way. Each club has 80 of its 82 games listed. The table is not incomplete — the NBA holds two games per club out of the released schedule for the NBA Cup knockout rounds, which cannot be scheduled until the group stage resolves, and they are added later. Every column sorts and the default order is chronological.
