The top-of-table Sydney Roosters’ minor premership hopes have received another boost with lock Victor Radley set to escape a ban over a high tackle.
Radley was placed on report for a 74th-minute shot on rival Brian To’o as the Roosters took down Penrith 12-6 on Thursday night to leap them into first place.

The incident drew complaints from Panthers players and their fans in the crowd, with some suggesting it worthy of a sin bin.
While it was only deemed a grade one careless high tackle, Radley’s poor disciplinary record meant he faced a two-match ban should he challenge the incident at the judiciary and lose.
However NSW Blues star Radley will escape with a $3,000 fine with an early guilty plea, clearing him for Trent Robinson’s side’s tilt at the minor premiership with three regular season matches left to play.
The Roosters now sit two points ahead of the Panthers on the ladder, with the Warriors a further two points behind and still to play this weekend.
Penrith’s Freddy Lussick was the only other player charged from Thursday night’s match but he’s also escaped with a fine for a dangerous contact charge.
