Adelaide has been dealt a bizarre off-field hurdle just hours out from their crucial clash with Fremantle on Friday night, as they endeavour to keep their top four hopes alive.
Nine’s Braden Ingram reported in Perth that the visitors have been forced to evacuate their hotel not long before their trek to Optus Stadium, as fire engines were called to deal with a disruptive alarm.

The Dockers (18-3, 143.4%) have made two changes for the Round 23 clash, with Murphy Reid (groin) and Judd McVee (omitted) coming out of the side for captain Alex Pearce and SSP signing Chris Scerri.
Fox Footy’s Jon Ralph has since revealed pre-game that Reid is now “no certainty” to line up next weekend either as he continues to recover from a painful blow he endured in last Saturday’s loss to Melbourne at the MCG.
Meanwhile, the travelling Crows (14-7, 117.6%) have made a monster six changes for the flight out west, with retiring club legend Taylor Walker notably managed for the match. Darcy Fogarty returns in his place after serving a three-match suspension, while ruck duo Lachie McAndrew and Toby Murray have been recalled in place of Reilly O’Brien.
