According to news.com.au, there are plans to look at moving on Gutherson, Suli, Kyle Flanagan and Lhykan King-Togia, despite the quartet under contract until the end of 2027.

Meanwhile, the future of playmaker Daniel Atkinson has been cleared up somewhat.

Playing in the halves, Atkinson hasn’t had the best season in his debut campaign in the red and white after coming over from Cronulla.

With the Dragons signing Metcalf and Nikorima to be the team’s new halves pairing from next season, Atkinson appears to be on the outside looking in.

However, according to news.com.au, the Dragons want Atkinson to stay put with the 25-year-old reassured in a meeting with club brass in Wollongong that he is in the club’s plans.

Atkinson is set to initially be used as a super sub off the bench in 2027, given he’s able to cover nearly every position in the backline.
