It’s well accepted by now that Marion Mahony was overlooked for a century, with Walter taking all the credit for the winning capital design that arrived by ship just in the nick of time. The plans came rolled up with her luminous watercolour renderings, and it’s likely the former would have been overlooked without the latter.
