Actor Hayden Panettiere best known for Heroes and Nashville, has died aged 36.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her – and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” her representative said in a statement.

No cause of death or details about the circumstances surrounding her death have been reported.

At just 36 she had a prolific career with 74 credits on IMDb including voice work and music videos.

Beginning as a child star in One Life to Live, Panettiere is remembered for her roles as Claire Bennet on the hit series Heroes and as Juliette Barnes on the musical drama Nashville.

Other TV credits include Touched by an Angel, Ally McBeal, Law & Order: SVU, Malcolm in the Middle, Commander in Chief, American Dad and Amanda Knox.

She also starred in Remember the Titans, Raising Helen, Ice Princess and Scream 4.

Panettiere has been candid about her struggles from child stardom through adulthood. She released a memoir this May titled “This Is Me: A Reckoning.”
