KINGS PARK, NY — James Hagens has become a standout name around these parts after a dominant Boston College career before making it to the NHL with the Boston Bruins less than a year after hearing his name called eighth overall at the 2025 NHL Draft.
But his older brother, Mikey Hagens, is someone everyone should be paying attention to.
Mikey, two years older than James, is an undrafted free agent headed to the University of Vermont for the 2026-27 season after spending two years at Boston College.
Unfortunately for Mikey, he didn’t get the opportunity to shine at BC like his brother after top picks came aboard, moving him farther and farther down the blueline depth chart.
