The under-17 squads to feature in the 2026 Marsh AFL National Futures have been confirmed

The AFL has announced the playing squads to feature in the 2026 Marsh AFL National Futures matches.
All players selected in the girls and boys Futures programs are born in 2009 and are eligible to be selected in the 2027 Telstra AFL Draft and 2027 Telstra AFLW Draft.
The Marsh AFL National Futures program brings talented players from every state and territory together in a high-performance environment ahead of their Draft year.
Players were nominated for the Futures programs by state talent programs, national selectors and AFL and AFLW club recruiters.
Each of the squads will take part in a two-day program in Melbourne during September, which will be highlighted by a talent showcase match.
The Marsh AFL National Futures matches will assist the selection process for the 2027 Marsh AFL National Academy programs. Players who don’t participate in the Futures match will still be eligible to be selected for the National Academy.
The Marsh AFL National Futures Girls match will be played at Windy Hill on Sunday, September 13 as a double-header with the NAB AFLW Round 5 match between Richmond and St Kilda.
Lani Cocks, Matilda Lange, Olivia Leslie and Madeline Nuss, who were selected in the 2026 Marsh AFL National Championships U18 All Australian Team as bottom-age players, have all been named in the squad.
Another notable inclusion is Billie Hamilton, who is looking to follow in the footsteps of siblings Lexi, Cynthia and Riley by making it onto an AFL/W list.
The Marsh AFL National Futures Boys match is scheduled to be played at the MCG ahead of the Toyota AFL Grand Final on Saturday, September 26.
The squad features several father-son prospects including Koby Bewick (son of Darren), Percy Burgoyne (son of Shaun), Tevita Rodan (son of David) and Louis Salopek (son of Steven).
Marsh AFL National Championships U18 All Australian Team forward Jake Miller has also been selected, along with highly-rated talls Axel Walsh and Zemes Pilot.
Final teams and team names will be announced prior to each game.
