Russell react to Zandvoort sprint pole
“It’s great to be back here after the break. It’s a circuit I really love. It needs a lot of commitment.
“It was obviously a tough end to the first half of the year, but I’m really happy to come back. It’s been a little while since I’ve done one of these interviews, so it’s nice.
“The lap felt really good, to be honest. It all came together nicely. It’s always difficult these sprint qualifyings when you just got one shot on the soft tyre, and the track always takes a step, the grip takes a step, but it all came together nicely.
“The McLarens look quick, Ferrari look quick, but really glad to pull it off when it mattered.”
