Melbourne Football Club’s former chief executive Paul Guerra is suing the AFL club and president Steven Smith for unfair dismissal in a claim expected to exceed $1 million.
Federal Court records show that Guerra, through his lawyers Baker McKenzie, filed a claim against the club and Smith under the Fair Work Act last week, on August 19, alleging his dismissal contravened general protections in the act.
