THE Brad Jones Racing combination of Cameron Hill and Brad Vaughan took a sweep of both major honours from Supercars’ mid-season test yesterday at Queensland Raceway.
Not only did the #14 Dare Supra set the fastest lap of the day, it recorded most laps of all as Ryco Enduro Cup preparations go into overdrive.
In fact, it was a busy outing for Toyota across the board, with all three BJR Supras ranking inside the top four, plus Chaz Mostert/Fabian Coulthard sixth.
Toyota had notably reverted to its A-spec engine for the test, while B-spec units are inspected following a failure for Mostert in the Sunday leg of the Ipswich Super440.
Grove Racing also opted for high mileage with 365 laps recorded between its pair of Penrite Mustangs, while Erebus Motorsport (259) and Team 18 (257) ranked towards the bottom.
A brake failure-induced crash left the Matt Stone Racing Camaro of Jack Le Brocq/Harri Jones with the least laps of all.
