One of the emerging voices of the new wave of alt-pop, Canadian singer-songwriter Sophia Stel has expanded her Australian tour.

Already slated to appear at Meredith Music Festival, the Vancouver artist best known for ‘I’ll Take It’ has added headline concerts in Melbourne and Sydney this December.

Currently working on her debut album, Stel is riding the momentum built from the playful, self-produced ‘Molly In The Club’ and latest single ‘Now I’ve Got A Lot You Know’, released earlier this month.

After building an underground following with her 2024 debut EP ‘Object Permanence’, Stel reached new heights with 2025’s ‘How To Win At Solitaire’ EP, which was written, produced and recorded in a makeshift basement studio beneath now-closed DIY venue Paradise, where Sophia used to work.

The music video for ‘Now I’ve Got A Lot You Know’ continues Sophia’s DIY approach to creativity.

“Scarlet filmed this video on the last tour and Aaron filmed the final scene at home in Vancouver while we were out on the road <3,” she posted. “This is a special song to me. Thank you for listening.”

With a recent back-to-back nights opening for Lorde in Los Angeles, Sophia continues to hone in on a singular sound that’s all her own.

Tickets on sale from 1pm (local time) on 27 August.
