SUPERCARS is poised to turn to Greg Murphy to bolster its television talent for the upcoming Ryco Enduro Cup.
Having freshened up its broadcast product by injecting Richard Craill and Garth Tander into the commentary box, a question has lingered as to how vacancies would be filled when regular contributors James Courtney, Mark Winterbottom and Craig Lowndes switched back into co-driver mode for The Bend 500 and Bathurst 1000.
Neil Crompton is known to have been offered a two-round cameo, something which he rejected in favour of being in the pitlane with Toyota-aligned Brad Jones Racing.
Mark Skaife was thought to be in line for a return, but that is understood to now be off the table.
Enter Murphy, the popular and well-spoken Kiwi with an ability to call it for what it is.
The four-time Bathurst 1000 winner has made sporadic appearances on the Supercars broadcast over the years. He retired as a full-timer at the end of 2012, but competed in the Great Race as recently as 2022 in an Erebus Motorsport wildcard with Richie Stanaway.
Accomplished caller Matt White will also be part of the Bathurst broadcast, in his capacity with the Seven Network.
The 2026 Enduro Cup will open at Tailem Bend on September 11-13 before Mount Panorama hosts the big one on October 8-11.
