To activate Tap-to-Pay, users can open the GCash app, go to the Pay section, and look for the Tap-to-Pay icon. After accepting the Terms and Conditions, the feature is activated automatically.
Once enabled, users can tap their iPhone on a GCash terminal to make contactless payments.
GCash has also encouraged users to update the app by August 27, which could be related to the wider rollout of Tap-to-Pay on iOS.
The feature was previously available only on Android devices. With the iOS rollout, GCash Tap-to-Pay is now accessible to both Android and iPhone users.
