Hollywood actor Brian Austin Green has revealed he lost the ability to read, talk, and walk due to an undiagnosed neurological condition.
Green, 53, said he went through the private health battle while he was still married to Megan Fox, 40, in his early 40s.

“I ended up with this neurological thing, and it was, like, stroke-like symptoms,” the Desperate Housewives actor told the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast.
He went on to say he battled the mystery illness 10 to 12 years ago.
“It was never completely diagnosed … I had internal inflammation, so from diet,” the actor said. “And then, they think, just emotional stress, not handling things well…”
Green said the illness affected his speech and mobility, confessing he “had to learn how to walk and talk again.”
“I had to learn how to sort of do everything again,” he said. “I couldn’t read. I couldn’t write. Who I was, essentially, was no more. My brain and my body completely disconnected.”
The father-of-five said he was terrified of what the illness would mean for his career and life.
He added that once he started getting better, he began going to therapy.
“The emotions that I have been living with since I was a kid were a big factor in what was going on,” he said.

Green and Fox’s divorce was finalised on February 8, 2022. The pair share Noah Shannon, 11, Bodhi Ransom, 10, and Journey River, seven.
Fox apparently broke up with Green in 2015, while he was in the midst of his illness, before they got back together again, according to Page Six.
The pair reportedly split the second time in 2020 when Fox came back from shooting a movie overseas, telling Green she “liked herself better,” when she was alone.
