The seventh edition of Major League Rugby’s College Draft is now complete. A total of 14 players were selected across three rounds with 5 teams from the 2026 season participating. Life University and USA age-grade flanker Logan Ballinger was chosen in the top spot by Old Glory DC.
Four players are not currently US-eligible, though all would be considered pathway players by MLR. Aaron van Dyk and Fraser Leslie are under-classmen (juniors) who should achieve US-qualification in 2028. Former USA u20 scrumhalf Cormac Saint is the only Canadian-eligible player selected.
With few development opportunities currently available in MLR competition, teams opted for players most likely to be game-ready in 2027. Six players had previous age-grade international honors. Notably there were no specialist props or flyhalves selected.
