The three cranes working on the hospital tower were known as the Ashton and Grant Crane named after undergraduate clinical placement coordinator and nurse Ashton Kline and his brother, switchboard operator and Kidney Health Australia ambassador Grant Monks, the Wasek Crane for Associate Professor Wasek Faisal in recognition of his contribution to cancer care, research and innovation, and the Josie Crane.
