US National team member Patrick Sammon found a lost GoPro in the ocean belonging to NBA Champion and 2024 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Jaylen Brown. Sammon has offered Brown some swim lessons.
Sammon posted about the lost GoPro on Instagram saying “Found a GoPro at the bottom of the ocean…Looked through the footage and this guy looks super familiar…Anyone know who this is? Tag him if you do…Help me find him so I can give him his footage back + a free swim lesson lol.”
Brown currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers after spending the last 10 seasons with the Boston Celtics. He most notably helped the Celtics to the 2024 NBA title and was named MVP for the NBA Finals.
The 29 year old Brown received swim lessons from Boston College head coach and Olympic Champion Dara Torres last October.
Sammon most recently competed at the 2026 Pan Pac Championships for the U.S. where he helped the men to gold medals in the 4×100 and 4×200 free relays. He swam to an individual silver medal in the 100 free, touching in a 47.62 behind fellow American Jack Alexy‘s 47.14 for gold. Sammon also represented the U.S. last summer at the 2025 World Championships.
