SUPERCARS has officially confirmed Greg Murphy’s return to its television team for both legs of the upcoming Ryco Enduro Cup.
As first reported by V8 Sleuth, Murphy will slot in at a time when broadcast regulars Mark Winterbottom, James Courtney and Craig Lowndes switch back into driving mode for The Bend 500 and Bathurst 1000.
“It’s an easy transition back into doing something with the TV side of things, considering the period I’ve been doing it,” Murphy, a four-time Great Race winner who mentors Walkinshaw TWG Toyota star Ryan Wood, told the official Supercars website.
“I’m happy to help out the team in that respect. I have a few other responsibilities at the track, but I’m happy to play a part while the gap has been created.
“I say it how it is, and I’m comfortable coming in and offering whatever I can.”

The enduros form the last part of the ‘regular season’ after which 10 drivers will make the playoffs with a chance to win the championship.
“I look forward to every race, really. The enduros are a great part of the championship, particularly getting to the 1000 in October,” Murphy added.
“It’s always intriguing for me to see where drivers end up, how the combinations work, and the pressure that it puts on co-drivers as well.
“The finals are now a whole different sort of kettle of fish. There’s a lot on the line at these two races, a lot at stake, and this time of year certainly keeps all the fans on their toes.”
