The Greek powerhouse announced that during Tuesday’s practice, Nigel Hayes-Davis injured his left hand.
Initial timetable for Hayes-Davis’ return
After he underwent examinations, tests revealed that he had sustained a fracture of his fourth metacarpal, and a special splint was applied.
SDNA reports that Hayes-Davis will be out for six weeks, so he’s expected to return around mid-October.
What games will Hayes-Davis miss?
If the initial prognosis proves correct, Hayes-Davis could miss the first 4-6 games of the EuroLeague season for Panathinaikos.
During that span, Panathinaikos will play four home games to start against Paris Basketball, LDLC ASVEL-Villerbaunne, and Maccabi Tel Aviv, before heading into a double-round week where they will play their first away game of the season against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade and host Hapoel Tel Aviv in Athens.

Nigel Hayes-Davis arrived at Panathinaikos as a midseason signing during the 2025-26 campaign.
Starting the season with the Phoenix Suns in the NBA, Hayes-Davis became one of the most prominent names on the market after he was waived, signing a lucrative deal with the Greens.
Last season, Hayes-Davis played in 16 EuroLeague matches, averaging 14.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in more than 28 minutes on the court.
