Construction begins for new mini golf course at The Banks

A new mini golf course is coming to The Banks in Cincinnati and work to install it is already underway.

The Cincinnati Park Board approved a three-year lease in July for the Cincinnati Legends Putt House at Freedom Park.

The $1 million project will feature 19 holes along Freedom Way, between The Filson and Yard House. The course will be fenced, with one entrance and security cameras.

As part of the mini golf course installation, the “Sing the Queen City” sign that stood in the lot has been removed.

City and Hamilton County officials praised the project when it was announced in July, with Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval saying the course will bring more life to the area.

“This can be an exciting way to bring even more life and activation to the Banks as we keep building our long-term vision,” Pureval said. “With this installation, there’s an opportunity to attract families and visitors of all ages. And as we move forward with next steps of engagement, it can serve a real benefit to the organizations and residents who call The Banks home.”
