The teams for the 2026 Presidents Cup have been finalised, with US Team Captain Brandt Snedeker and International Team Captain Geoff Ogilvy each making six captain’s picks to complete their respective 12-man rosters. The selections were revealed during the 2026 Presidents Cup Selection Special, broadcast live from PGA Tour Studios in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Snedeker selected Jacob Bridgeman, Patrick Cantlay, Chris Gotterup, Jackson Koivun, Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas. Of the six, Bridgeman, Gotterup and Koivun are making their Presidents Cup debut.

Bridgeman and Koivun are the first players to make a Presidents Cup team after competing in the Junior Presidents Cup. Bridgeman competed at Plainfield Country Club in New Jersey in the inaugural event in 2017, while Koivun competed at Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte in 2022.

Ogilvy selected Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Corey Conners, Nico Echavarria, Ryo Hisatsune, Sungjae Im and Nick Taylor. Of the six, Echavarria, Hisatsune and Taylor are first-time participants.

In total, seven countries will represent the International Team in 2026: Australia, Canada, Colombia, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa and South Korea.

During the show, Snedeker announced the teams will compete in five four-ball matches during the first round.

CAPTAIN’S PICKS – US TEAM

Jacob Bridgeman
Age: 26 | PGA Tour wins: 1 | Presidents Cup appearances: First appearance

Collected his first career PGA Tour win at the Genesis Invitational, adding five other top-10 finishes. Qualified for the FedEx Cup Playoffs for the second consecutive year, finishing strong at the Tour Championship (T4).

“Jacob has quickly proven himself as one of the brightest young players on Tour,” Snedeker said. “What impressed me most wasn’t just his win at Riviera but the way he continued playing consistent golf throughout the season, ending with a strong finish at the Tour Championship. He’ll bring some new and exciting energy as a first-timer to the team this year.”

Patrick Cantlay
Age: 34 | PGA Tour wins: 8 | Presidents Cup appearances: 2019, 2022, 2024 (10-4-0)

Delivered another steady season, collecting five top-10 finishes highlighted by a runner-up finish at the BMW Championship during his 10th Playoffs appearance.

“Patrick is exactly the kind of player you want on a Presidents Cup team,” Snedeker said. “His experience, consistency and ability to perform under pressure make him a no-brainer.”

Chris Gotterup
Age: 27 | PGA Tour wins: 5 | Presidents Cup appearances: First appearance

Earned victories at the Sony Open in Hawaii, WM Phoenix Open and John Deere Classic, one of just four players to record three or more wins this season. Finished T4 at the Tour Championship.

“I have been watching Chris closely all season and it’s an understatement to say he has worked incredibly hard for this opportunity,” Snedeker said. “He embraces big stages and has showed he can contend against the best players in the world.”

Jackson Koivun
Age: 21 | PGA Tour wins: 1 | Presidents Cup appearances: First appearance

Earned his maiden Tour title in just his 13th career start, winning the 3M Open by three strokes over World No.1 Scottie Scheffler while setting the 72-hole scoring record at 25-under 259. Finished the regular season at No.70 in the FedEx Cup standings.

“It’s rare to see a player this young demonstrate the level of poise and confidence that Jackson has, even before turning professional,” Snedeker said.

Xander Schauffele
Age: 32 | PGA Tour wins: 10 | Presidents Cup appearances: 2019, 2022, 2024 (10-4-0)

Recorded seven top-10 finishes in 20 starts, highlighted by a solo-third at the Players Championship and a season-best runner-up at the Rocket Classic.

“Xander is one of the most important puzzle pieces to our team year after year,” Snedeker said.

Justin Thomas
Age: 33 | PGA Tour wins: 16 | Presidents Cup appearances: 2017, 2019, 2022 (10-3-2)

Collected two top-10 finishes in 17 starts, including a T8 at the Players Championship and T4 at the PGA Championship, qualifying for the Playoffs for the 11th time.

“Justin has always embraced the responsibility and privilege of representing the United States,” Snedeker said. “He loves team competition, he thrives in the atmosphere, and he has a way of energising both his teammates and the fans around him.”

Age: 32 | Best PGA Tour finish: T2, 2024 The American Express | Presidents Cup appearances: 2022, 2024 (3-1-1)

Recorded six top-25 finishes in 21 starts, highlighted by top-10s at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic and Puerto Rico Open.

“Christiaan has experience in this event that would have been difficult to leave on the table,” Ogilvy said. “He’s earned 3.5 points in five matches, including two singles victories.”

Corey Conners (Canada)
Age: 34 | PGA Tour wins: 2 | Presidents Cup appearances: 2022, 2024 (2-7-0)

Finished the regular season at No.59 in the FedEx Cup standings with seven top-25 finishes, including a T7 at the Travelers Championship and cuts made in all four majors.

“Corey’s experience in this competition and his consistent performance and stable mentality are undeniable traits,” Ogilvy said.

Ryo Hisatsune (Japan)
Age: 23 | Best PGA Tour finish: T2, 2026 Farmers Insurance Open | Presidents Cup appearances: First appearance

Qualified for the FedEx Cup Playoffs for the first time, advancing to the BMW Championship (T12) with five top-10 finishes across the season.

“Ryo has achieved a lot in a short time being only 23,” Ogilvy said. “His quality performance, charming personality and top-notch attitude make him a winner.”

Nico Echavarria (Colombia)
Age: 32 | PGA Tour wins: 3 | Presidents Cup appearances: First appearance

Captured his third Tour title at the Cognizant Classic, adding top-10s at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Charles Schwab Challenge. Becomes just the third Colombian to represent the International Team.

“Nico’s won twice on the PGA Tour since the last Presidents Cup in 2024,” Ogilvy said. “Deep down he is a superstar competitor and a great addition.”

Sungjae Im (South Korea)
Age: 28 | PGA Tour wins: 2 | Presidents Cup appearances: 2019, 2022, 2024 (6-7-2)

The only player in the field to play his way into the BMW Championship via a T5 at the FedEx St Jude Championship, wrapping the season with a T10 at Bellerive.

“Sungjae is invaluable to the International Team,” Ogilvy said. “He’s a birdie machine. He’s also one of the funniest guys in the team room.”

Nick Taylor (Canada)
Age: 38 | PGA Tour wins: 5 | Presidents Cup appearances: First appearance

Made 21 cuts in 23 starts, with a best result of T9 at the Cadillac Championship, advancing to the Playoffs for the fifth consecutive season.

“Nick was gutted to miss out on the opportunity to be on the International Team in Canada last time,” Ogilvy said. “He’s sneaky good and when he gets it going, he’s hard to beat.”
