The trailer has been released for Kill Jackie, a new British action comedy series starring Chicago and The Mask of Zorro’s Catherine Zeta-Jones and The Gentleman and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Daniel Ings.

Adapted from Nick Harkaway’s novel The Price You Pay, the eight-part series follows a wealthy art dealer (played by Zeta-Jones) with a cabinet full of guns and a violent past, who becomes the target of seven assassins.

She ropes in a friend (Ings) to take them down before they can do the same to her. But while he thinks the entire thing is insane, it’s just another day in the office for her.

In addition to our lead actor in lots of glamorous outfits and a load of action soundtracked by Blondie’s ‘Call Me’, the trailer also features a brief homage to the iconic opening scene from 28 Days Later, with Jackie walking across London’s Westminster Bridge wearing blue hospital scrubs.

There’s also a brief appearance from Hellboy and The Capture’s Ron Perlman.

The upcoming series also stars Gangs of London’s Conor Keane and Tom Butterworth, John Wick’s Peter Lawson, and Killing Eve director Damon Thomas, so there’s plenty of action pedigree involved.

In the UK, the show will be streaming via Prime Video, but that’s not the case in every region.

Not all territories have announced release dates yet.
