Channel 7 will go with its tried and tested grand final calling duo of Brian “BT” Taylor and James “JB” Brayshaw for this year’s big one on September 26.

The pair have called Seven’s past five AFL grand finals together and this will be Taylor’s 10th with the network. But he has the job in front of him to catch Bruce McAvaney (20 with Seven), Mike Williamson (14), Dennis Cometti (13) and Lou Richards (12), with Taylor set to equal the great Sandy Roberts.

In the radio world Bruce “Beaver” Eva and Matt Granland will again call the grand final for 3AW, with a decorated trio in Jimmy Bartel, Matthew Lloyd and Joel Selwood providing the special comments.

Over at Triple M the emerging star of Jack Heverin continues to rise with him set to call the premiership decider alongside Mark Howard, who makes a radio return after spending much of the year calling for Fox Footy.

Nathan Brown called the game alongside Howard in 2025.
