The much-anticipated
Ultimate Fighting Championship debut of Salahdine
Parnasse proved the Frenchman is ready to face the best in the
world.
At
UFC Paris, Parnasse (24-2, 1-0 UFC) easily overcame Octagon
veteran Dan Hooker,
who couldn’t contain his opponent’s pressure. The Frenchman hit his
foe with a nasty kick to the liver before finishing him with
surgical precision at the 2:35 mark of Round 1.
Salahdine Parnasse enters Sherdog’s lightweight Top 10 after

Thanks to his remarkable performance, the two-time
Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki featherweight titleholder and former
KSW lightweight champion joins Sherdog’s rankings at No. 10. In
turn, Hooker (24-15, 14-11 UFC) drops down to No. 12, finding
himself on a three-bout skid for the first time in his career.
Earlier on the card, Michael
Page (26-3, 5-1 UFC) outsmarted Nursulton
Ruziboev (37-10-2, 5-2 UFC) in a middleweight affair. It wasn’t
much of a show, but “Venom” did enough to take all three
scorecards. That was plenty to secure another victory in the
185-pound division and climb the ladder, if only by one spot. The
Bellator
MMA vet has now jumped over former UFC titleholder Israel
Adesanya, landing at the No. 12 position. We’ll see what the
future has in store for Page, who was competing on the final fight
of his UFC deal.
In the women’s atomweight division, current
Invicta Fighting Championships 105-pound titleholder Elisandra
Ferreira exits the rankings due to inactivity. All the fighters
in the rankings move up a position as we welcome Janet
Garcia at No. 10.
