The Blanchard Racing Team owner is set to miss the Enduro Cup opener due to business commitments in Germany.
Toyota GR Cup regular Casabene already has experience in the cars through previous cameos in both the Trans Am and TA2 series, including an outing in the latter at The Bend earlier this year.
“It’s great to be coming back to the Trans Am Cup Series again this weekend at The Bend,” he said.
“I’ve done some laps here earlier in the year in a TA2, so I’m familiar with the West circuit and the cars.”
“I’m joining a new team this weekend with Maverick Performance.
“They have had some really strong results the last few rounds so I am really looking forward to working with them, can’t wait.”
Maverick team owner Gerard McLeod enthused over Casabene’s potential.
“Pip is a natural racer… whether it’s karts, GR Cup or Trans Am he’s got the gift behind the wheel,” said McLeod.
“It’s only a matter of time before he’s a mainstay in the industry and we are stoked to be apart of his journey to the top.”
Former Walkinshaw and current BRT Super2 engineer Brian Cottee will guide Casabene through the three-race weekend.
