ONE could be forgiven for thinking The Bend Motorsport Park is owned by Dick Johnson Racing star Brodie Kostecki.
The South Australian venue of course is actually the masterpiece of the Shahin family, but Kostecki very much is the man to beat any time the Repco Supercars Championship rolls into town.
Indeed, the 28-year-old has a perfect four-from-four Gen3 record at a circuit which these days shares the same naming rights sponsor as his DJR team.
Back in 2023 during his championship charge with Chevrolet-aligned Erebus Motorsport, Kostecki defied a Ford onslaught to sweep the three-race weekend.

Then, when The Bend returned to the calendar as an enduro following a one-year absence, Kostecki combined with Todd Hazelwood to win the ‘500’.
“They are some serious numbers… it’s pretty bloody impressive,” James Moffat said on The Undercut.
Victory in the 2026 edition would take Kostecki to five straight wins at The Bend, a circuit-specific winning streak that has only ever been bettered by Craig Lowndes’ dozen straight at Wanneroo.
But as Moffat’s co-host Aaron Noonan put it, a case could be made for Kostecki’s record being considered a match for Lowndes’.
“If Brodie and Todd could win at The Bend and that gets Brodie to five – that equals him with Whincup, Lowndes, Skaife and Feeney – some of those eras that those guys got these results were progressive grid, some of them had a few other variations around them,” said Noonan.
“But if Brodie gets to five… and two of them were 500km endurance wins, it’s hard to knock Lowndes for that number and that longevity at that track, but for separate qualifying sessions, for the competitiveness of the championship now, you could mount some form of an argument for saying that Brodie’s five in a row at The Bend would be just as impressive as Craig’s 12 at Wanneroo.”
