UFC CEO Dana White made UFC middleweight Michael Page’s status with the company crystal clear at the DWCS post-fight press conference Tuesday.
After The Crossfire – More Michael Page
Speaking to reporters, White confirmed previous reports that in addition to Page (26-3-0), 39, being removed from the UFC rankings, he will not be resigned and is a free agent.
“That was the last fight on his contract,” White said. “I don’t think we’re re-signing him, no. What’s the confusion? I think it’s been pretty clear he wasn’t being re-signed and that he would be taken out of the rankings because he’s no longer on the roster.”
Page debuted in the UFC in March 2024. He won five of his six fights, losing only to Ian Garry, but could not produce the exciting style that made him famous for years in Bellator.
At the recent UFC Paris event, Page admitted he was probably on the bubble after another disappointing performance in victory.
