The future of the Bay is bright, with both junior sides set to contest the SANFL AAMI Talent League Grand Finals this Sunday.
In a fantastic feat for the program, and a testament to the commitment of players, coaches and families alike, both the Bays U16 and U18 sides will fight for ultimate glory at Adelaide Oval this weekend.
Led by coach and Glenelg Football Club Talent Manager Darren Trevena, the Bays U16s will take on the Roosters from 9:20am.
U16 State Captain, Dr Henry Kneebone Achievement Award recipient and Ron Coleman Best Team Man recipient Zane Rooney will lead the Bays alongside co-Captain and fellow U16 State teammate Jack Gallagher.
The pair will be bolstered by their U16 AAMI State Team teammates Josh Salievic, Ryder Lindner and Josh Allan.
Coached by Ben Kane, our U18s will face the Eagles from 12pm, following the conclusion of the U16 Grand Final.
Led by Captain Jimmy Hele, son of former Glenelg player Simon Hele, the Bays U18s will look to finish the season on a high and continue their winning streak.
The side features plenty of familiar talent, including South East talent Jobe Janeway, who featured in three Reserves games throughout the 2026 season, and Gabe Patterson, son of former Collingwood rover Stephen Patterson.
The pair represented South Australia in this year’s AAMI Talent League alongside Harry Franz, Jacob McNicol and Harvey Croker.
With both sides earning their place on the biggest stage, the future of the Bay is certainly looking bright.
